![]() These collectibles are available daily, so a new set of ten caches appears every day, regardless of how many were collected the previous day. Passengers in a sonar-equipped vehicle do not see the sonar, however if the game has coincidentally spawned the same set of 10 caches as the owner, non-sonar-owning passengers can passively collect their caches simultaneously. Sonar can not be borrowed from other players. Players without a sonar-equipped vehicle can still collect them, however they will have no way of knowing where to look for their caches. They can be collected with or without a vehicle, and each will give the player $7,500 and 500 RP upon collection. The caches also emit a beeping sound, which helps with locating them. If the sonar is activated, it will reveal all caches, regardless of distance from the player. There are ten hidden caches scattered throughout the state of San Andreas, all located underwater. If a player has purchased the optional sonar upgrade for their Kosatka submarine, then whenever they are inside their own sonar-equipped vehicle such as the Kosatka, Avisa or Toreador, they will be shown a prompt informing them that turning on the sonar will reveal hidden caches. ![]() Hidden Caches are a recurring collectible in Grand Theft Auto Online, added as part of The Cayo Perico Heist update released on December 15, 2020. ![]()
